The Development Assistant plays an important role in supporting and participating in all aspects of the Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter’s fund raising efforts. S/he assists the development staff in managing logistical details of special events, serves as the steward of the agency’s donor database, and provides clerical and administrative support.
The Social Worker/Substance Abuse Counselor at Chance for Change, a small not-for-profit OASAS (part 822) licensed outpatient treatment program, will work with a team to address the needs of dually diagnosed homeless and formerly homeless men and women.
The Director of Development and Communications (DDC) is a key member of the NCS leadership team and an active participant in strategic planning for the agency. In partnership with the ED, s/he is responsible for all fundraising, development and communications activities. S/he will help forge new relationships that will build NCS’s visibility, impact, and financial resources and position the agency for substantial growth. The DDC is responsible for securing funding from diverse sources (individual, philanthropic, corporate, government); managing cultivation of and relationships with donors; overseeing communications and marketing; and serving as liaison to NCS Board members and the Board’s Development Committee.
NCS seeks a smart and dedicated intern in the Development and Communications department for a fall semester unpaid internship (credit or non-credit) at our offices near Wall Street. All college study disciplines are welcome; Communication and Marketing are a plus. A minimum of two days per week of availability is requested.
You will help NCS communicate with and assist donors and volunteers while gaining valuable office and professional skills, including: teamwork, project management, nonprofit fundraising and communications experience, CRM database management, volunteer engagement, and leveraging our social networks and other online vehicles to expand a support base and raise awareness.
The Program Aide at Louis Nine House maintains the safety and security of the residents and facility.
The Senior Case Manager at the NCS Residence supports the Residence Director in the overall management of the program. S/he supports and advances program goals by building a strong clinical team that utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach to service provision.
The Case Manager at the NCS Residence provides outreach and counseling to the residents at the NCS Residence housing facility.
The Facility Superintendent/Handyman at the NCS Residence is responsible for maintaining the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the facility and equipment in accordance with fire, sanitation, and health department regulations.
