Volunteer at the Options Community Resource Fair!

The Options program at Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter (NCS) provides vocational and educational support to help individuals build skills, access training, and pursue meaningful employment opportunities. The Second Annual Options Community Resource Fair brings this mission to life by connecting community members with a wide range of partner organizations offering job readiness resources, career pathways, and educational opportunities.

Volunteers play a key role in creating a welcoming, well-run event that makes these connections possible. There are several ways to get involved throughout the day, and we are grateful for any time you’re able to give.

Grill & Food Service Support (12:00 PM – 3:00 PM)
We are seeking up to four volunteers to assist with our cooking station. Responsibilities include food prep, grilling, serving, and grill clean up. This role is especially important to the event’s success, and we are looking for individuals who are experienced and comfortable working with a grill.

Event Set Up & Support (12:00 PM – 3:00 PM)
Volunteers in this role will help with setting up tables, welcoming guests and community partners, and supporting general event needs as they arise. This is a great opportunity to engage with attendees and help create a warm, organized, and inviting environment.

Event Support & Clean-Up (3:00 PM – 6:00 PM)
Assist with welcoming guests and supporting general event needs as they arise. At the close of the event (5:00 PM), volunteers will assist with packing up materials, breaking down tables, and ensuring the space is left clean and orderly.
