Options Community Resource Fair Connects Clients with Opportunity and Support

The recent Options Community Resource Fair was a vibrant and inspiring day, drawing together service providers, local organizations, community members, and Options clients for an afternoon focused on access, empowerment, and connection.

Held outdoors at Louis Nine House under sunny skies, the fair featured a wide range of community partners offering information and resources at their tables. Participating organizations included the New York Public Library, FDNY, NYPD LGBTQIA Community Outreach Division, Goodwill GoodTemps, Immanuel Cares, Project Renewal, Union Settlement, Brooklyn Workforce1, St. Ann’s Corner of Harm Reduction, and many others.

The event served as more than just a fair—it was a vital link to opportunity. Attendees connected with resources ranging from ESL classes to educational and vocational training to employment services. Many came with resumes ready and spoke directly with workforce specialists about job openings and career development support.

“We are proud to foster partnerships and create spaces where our community can access the tools they need to thrive,” said Elizabeth McGuire, Program Director of Options, NCS’s vocational, education, and employment program. “We are grateful to our community partners. Events like this demonstrate the power of collaboration and the importance of bringing resources directly to the people who need them most.”
