“I used to work with an HIV/AIDS population in my previous job, and one of my patients died. I needed to get away, and so I went to Honduras and volunteered for a year. I taught English to kids in kindergarten and first grade. It was life changing. Before that year I had never left the country. 

When I came back I was ready to get back to working in social services. I love my job because I’m able to incorporate my counseling skills and my background in creative art therapy. The tenants here get a lot out of it and so do I. I love it.”
