“I’ve worked with a lot of people, particularly young adults that have been through the foster care system and have had a lot of significant trauma in their lives. They come in feeling broken. I think part of helping someone find work is getting a sense of who they are and what they really want to do next and to also get a sense of their self-confidence. I take them where they’re at and kind of figure out how are we going to get to that next level to really help you, to inspire you, but also then to realize that life is a work in progress. There’s nothing like hearing from somebody when they finally get that job after all the work and the struggles they’ve faced, when they get to the point when they know what they’re going to do next. It’s great to be a part of somebody’s next step.”
