Chance for Change Has a New Director

Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter welcomes Dominick Mattina as the new Director of Chance for Change.

Dominick, who has a Master’s in psychology and is a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC), brings more than 30 years of experience managing and directing outpatient programs and a strong background in the treatment of co-occurring (mental health and substance abuse) disorders to his new role.

For the past 28 years, Dominick has lived on the Upper East Side and is now “really excited to join the NCS team as Director of Chance for Change and be able to give back to the community.”

Chance for Change provides treatment for homeless adults living with the challenges of substance use disorders. The small, welcoming clinic environment and "harm reduction" model connect with each individual’s desire to change in a collaborative, respectful and empathic environment.
