NextGen Network Launches Monthly Volunteer Led Dinner at the NCS Residence

The NCS NextGen Network of young professionals (20s and 30s) will be hosting monthly dinners at the NCS Residence. The dinners will give NextGen Network volunteers an opportunity to get to know each other while preparing dinner for the residents and provide both the residents and volunteers a chance to get to know each other.

The launch event was held February 11, 2020 and was led by NextGen Network co-chair Matthew Hughes. The volunteers had a great time making baked ziti, salad and garlic bread and getting to know the residents, who expressed their appreciation for both the food and the company.

The NCS Residence is home to 65 formerly homeless New Yorkers, most of whom are struggling with substance use and mental illness. Learn more about the NCS Residence.
