Help NCS Clients this Back-to-School Season

Imagine trying to focus on your studies when you are constantly looking for a couch to sleep on, spending the night on the subway, or studying in a noisy shelter.

We believe college students working hard to earn a degree and gain independence should be able to focus on their studies, not where they’re going to sleep at night.

That’s why NCS offers essential services that help at-risk students stay in school and succeed once they graduate, including:

  • Year-round housing

  • Career counseling services

  • Mental health support

  • Access to tutors

  • Assistance with scholarships and financial aid

  • Networking opportunities with board members and corporate partners

Will you support Neighborhood Coalition for Shelter so we can continue offering these key resources?

Your generosity will help students like M, a Computer Science student at Medgar Evers College. When his dad suddenly announced he was moving, M wasn’t sure where he would live next. He was worried he would have to leave school if he didn’t have a stable place to stay.

Fortunately, M found NCS Scholars, our program that provides year-round housing to homeless and housing-insecure CUNY students.

Now, M is on track to earn his Computer Science degree, and he even completed his first IT internship this summer!

This back-to-school season, you can make even more of these success stories possible.
